Archels is a premium menswear brand specializing in leather. We bring together a rebellious attitude and classic elegance to create timeless pieces inspired by the subcultures of the 1950s and 1960s.

Our founder, Chris Archels, has always felt like an outsider in society—either too classy or too rock ‘n’ roll. His vision for Archels is a handshake between these two worlds.

The brand was founded in 2019 in Stockholm, Sweden, by Chris and his fiancée. The plans already started in 2013 when Chris’s creative mind began to form the brand, but they were put on hold. Six years later, with his fiancée and a baby on the way, the timing was even more challenging, but it was the right moment for Archels to be born.

In 2021, Chris Archels decided to take on the challenge of creating the best leather jackets he could, regardless of cost or time.

We moved production to Europe and visited numerous manufacturers and tanneries in search of the perfect calf leather. After a year of frustration, we finally found a tannery in Portugal that could produce the exact leather we had in mind.

Yet the challenges didn’t end there. Chris also wanted to use the best zippers in the world for these leather jackets, which was an almost impossible mission given the small quantities. After two years, we finally signed a deal with an Italian luxury zipper supplier and could begin developing the new leather jackets we had dreamed of for years.
